Rather than relying solely on insulation installed between framing members, the home incorporates continuous exterior insulation, sometimes referred to as outsulation. The structure was fully sheathed before insulation was applied to the exterior, creating a more continuous thermal barrier around the home.

The team looked not only at how products would perform once installed, but also at the materials themselves and, where possible, their manufacturing impacts.

The exterior insulation strategy also supported this goal by keeping the insulation outside of the home's primary structural shell. Combined with thoughtful material selections and carefully designed mechanical systems, these decisions helped support the client's vision for a healthier living environment.
